From Medieval Altarpieces to David Parr House: My Journey in the Conservation of Paintings

24/02/2022 @ 21:00 - 22:00 UTC+2
Mary Kempski leads our specialist conservation and painting technique tours at David Parr House.
Join us for this talk where Mary Kempski will take you on a fascinating conservation journey, from the earliest Medieval Altarpiece created in England in 1275, to the 19th century and David Parr House in Cambridge.
Mary draws on her experience as a paintings conservator working on an enormous range of paintings during her career at the Hamilton Kerr Institute, Cambridge.
She will discuss some of her favourite projects and how in some cases treatments and techniques from the past relate to what she found in David Parr House.
The talk lasts approximately one hour.
This is an online talk via Zoom.
