Held annually since 1977, this medieval themed arts festival features educational exhibits, arts, crafts, food, games, demonstrations and ongoing entertainment at seven stages where the whole family can enjoy minstrels, dancing, theater, jugglers, knights jousting on horseback, human chess games, brightly costumed characters including King Arthur, mermaids, and the fair’s royal court of King Edward III.

Browse through the medieval village of nearly 200 art and craft booths offering unique and handcrafted wares of pottery, wood, stained glass, armor, costumes, fairy wings, jewelry, leather crafts, hair garlands, and much more. Watch master crafters demonstrating their skills including blacksmithing, stone carving, and leather working.

The Medieval Fair of Norman is the state’s largest single weekend event and the third largest event in Oklahoma. It is made possible, in part, by the Norman Arts Council Hotel Tax Grant Program, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the City of Norman. It is presented by the Medieval Fair Department within the University Outreach/College of Continuing Education of the University of Oklahoma.

Leashed and vaccinated dogs are allowed, but not encouraged, due to large crowd sizes.
