The Choccolocco Creek Watershed is presenting the first ever Medieval Canterbury Christmas!
if you are Medieval era enthusiast come on out – and if you’re not, we still have so much fun and shopping for you to do, you will leave enjoying the day;
You can expect the following;
Archer Aficionado we got you covered and an instructor to help.
Want to learn a little about cooking in this era we have a Medieval Village for you.
Children who enjoy pretending to be Knights we have the place for you.
Photo fun, dress up, candid shots, and pretending booths fanatics and addicts come on.
Watersheds you say? We can show you how they work.
Those who enjoy the Theatre, we will have several theatrical performances throughout the day by Jacksonville State University Students and written by Professor Samuel F. Clements.
If you like chess we have chess tournaments for you.
If you want to learn about the knights and how they came to be.
Want to learn about bee keeping come on out.
It is the committees plans to make this a yearly event for all to enjoy, learn and to see that the resourcefulness and conservation practices of medieval times are being used today.
The Medieval Canterbury Christmas will help generate funds for the Choccolocco Preserve, Nature Center, Arboretum, and there will be multi-use trail systems with educational and recreational areas, as funds are Donated and Raised through contributions and events such as this.
We hope to see the grounds busy with people and laughter, smiles, and a day of fun and enjoyment!!
