Orange Medieval Faire 2022

19/03/2022 - 20/03/2022
Hear ye, hear ye! Excitement and adventure awaits at the inaugural Orange Medieval Faire, coming to the Orange Showground on 19-20 March 2022.
Visitors of all ages are invited to step back in time as they enter our living medieval village, for an immersive experience like no other, brought to life by over 300 re-enactors from around Australia.
Escape the modern age and wander the village at your own leisure to see life as it was in medieval Europe, from the dark ages to the renaissance. The sound of the blacksmith’s hammer will ring in your ears as artisans and craftsmen perform their trades and merchants offer a fine range of unique, handmade items.
In the main arena, there will be plenty to entertain the thrill-seekers with eight valiant jousting knights to participate in a two-day tournament. The reigning WJC world champion, Phillip Leitch, headlines a world-class line-up of competitors, who will showcase the incredible skill and bravery that was required to succeed at this ancient sport.
Enjoy the pageantry of the grand parade, the drama of viking battles, the accuracy of archers, the power of a life-size wooden catapult, and the majesty of the falcons and eagles that will perform as the ‘Birds of Prey’.
The family-friendly Orange Medieval Faire boasts a range of activities for all ages, including:
